For example, when you post on our Site, you select whether the post can be seen by the general public (including those who have not subscribed to our services), all of your connections, or select connections of your choosing. When you share information with select connections, only the connection you choose can view the information you have posted. Public information (information you share with the public, including those who have not subscribed to our services) can be viewed by the general public, including that are not registered users of our services, and can be seen or accessed through online search engines, APIs, and offline media, such as on TV.

If you comment on, or interact with, another member's post on our Site, that member can select the audience who is able to view your comment or interaction. If the member's post is public, your comment or interaction will also be public. Other members who are able to see your post may share it with their own connections. For example, a dealer may share a post relating to the sale of heavy plant machinery with their connections who are buyers. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

  • Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you;
  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our Site; and
  • Credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
  • If Krank Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets; or

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. We will not disclose your personal information, or aggregated information about our users, to any third party advertiser or advertising networks.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
When you upload your client/customer databases to our Site, these will be saved and stored on a secure SMTP server. We will then access and use the data you upload on the STMP server solely for the purposes of sending out HTML emails and auctions invitations to your clients/customers on your behalf.
All other information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SHA 256. The SHA (Secure Hash Algorithm) is one of a number of cryptographic hash functions. A cryptographic hash is like a signature for a text or a data file. SHA-256 algorithm generates an almost-unique, fixed size 256-bit (32-byte) hash. Hash is a one way function - it cannot be decrypted back.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
